Connected to the VPN but cannot access content on iOS (e.g., Netflix, BBC)

1. Clear your cache and cookies in your browser

  • Websites can use your cookies and cache to identify your location
  • Clearing your cache and cookies helps reduce tracking by websites

 

Safari

  • Open the Settings app, then select Safari.
  • Scroll down, then select Clear History and Website Data.
  • Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

 

Chrome

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app.
  • At the bottom, tap More.
  • Tap History. Clear browsing data.
  • Make sure there's a check mark next to "Cookies, Site Data," and "Cached Images and Files."
  • Tap Clear browsing data.

 

2. Open a browser in incognito or private browsing mode with the VPN disconnected

  • Re-connect to the VPN
  • Try to access content 

 

3. Connect to a different server

  • To change the server, tap Fastest Location (above the Connect button)
  • Select the server that you need from the list provided

  4. Change VPN Protocol

  • Select “Auto” in the protocol setting and try to access content
  • Select a different Protocol (e.g., IKEv2, IPSEC, OpenVPN). More information on how to do this here!
