Connected to the VPN but cannot access content on Android (e.g., Netflix, BBC)

1. Clear your cache and cookies in your browser

  • Websites can use your cookies and cache to identify your location

  • Clearing your cache and cookies helps reduce tracking by websites

 

Chrome

  • On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.

  • At the top right, tap More.

  • Tap History. Clear browsing data.

  • At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.

  • Next to "Cookies and site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.

  • Tap Clear data.

 

2. Open a browser in incognito or private browsing mode with the VPN disconnected

  • Re-connect to the VPN

  • Try to access content

 

3. Connect to a different server/location

  • To change the server, tap Fastest Location (above the Connect button)

  • Select the server that you need from the list provided

4. Connect to a different VPN protocol

  • Select “Auto” in the protocol setting and try to access content

  • Select a different Protocol (e.g., IKEv2, OpenVPN).
